How Are Custom EVA Cases Made? 5 Key Steps
See how a custom EVA case moves from product review and layout planning to prototype, production and final quality checks.

A custom EVA case usually starts with the product itself — not with the case size.
The device dimensions, accessories, protection needs and expected quantity all affect the final structure. For buyers, the process can be understood in five main steps.
Step 1: Review the Product and Accessories
The first step is understanding everything that needs to fit inside the case.
- Main product dimensions and photos
- Cables, chargers, probes or adapters
- Estimated order quantity
- Branding or special protection requirements
This information helps determine the basic case size and whether a suitable existing case can be used.
Step 2: Plan the Case Size and Interior
The internal layout is developed around the complete product kit, not just the main device.
Depending on the project, the interior may use CNC-cut foam, layered foam, a molded insert, mesh pockets or elastic straps.
The goal is to keep the product secure while making each component easy to identify and remove.
Step 3: Develop the Prototype
A prototype allows the buyer to check the case before mass production.
Important points include product fit, foam tightness, accessory positions, zipper operation, overall dimensions and logo appearance.
If anything feels too tight, too loose or difficult to use, the layout can be adjusted before production.
Step 4: Produce and Assemble the Case
After the design is approved, the EVA shell, exterior fabric, zipper, handle and interior components are produced and assembled according to the confirmed specification.
The exact process depends on the case structure, materials and customization requirements.
Step 5: Final Quality Check
Before packing, finished cases should be checked against the approved sample.
Typical inspection points include case shape, zipper alignment, stitching, handle attachment, insert position, logo placement and overall cleanliness.
What Do You Need to Start?
You do not need to prepare a finished EVA case drawing yourself.
Product dimensions, photos or drawings, an accessory list and estimated quantity are usually enough to begin reviewing the case structure and prototype requirements.
